This box of silkworm-looking chocolates is by far the most interesting omiyage (お土産/ souvenir) I ever received. They are produced by Maruei to commemorate Tomioka Silk Mill (富岡製糸場), a historical silk factory located in Gunma Prefecture, for becoming an UNESCO World Heritage Site. The chocolate silkworm looked so real that I made my husband double-checked to make sure that the ingredients DO NOT contained any insect parts before I could put one into my mouth. Thankfully, it was made of mulberry leaf powder, white chocolate, and other yummy stuffs. It tasted oddly good! ^_^;
